While the champagne was enjoyable, it was not one of the better showing by bereche. I’m gonna give this wine the benefit of the doubt that some age will pull it more together and get it better depth and complexity. 91*

Very Bereche. Nice rich round fruit with a gentle sweetness to it, and as echoed belowed, there's a certain elegance to it where everything is in harmony. However, this would've been even more amazing if there was a tad more tension on palate. Great champagne.

Lieu dit Les Feucheres. Great wine and very typical of Bereche style. Great nose, lots of berries, especially raspberries and as it took air, developped white flowers, stone fruits and spice notes. Terrific length and fine bubbles. I personally prefer Savart, but this was impressive nonetheless. Great effort and should keep for 10-15 years easily.

Medium intensity aromas of sweet raspberries and cream with mineral undertones. The flavor is unripe peach and sweet red berry fruit. Texture is suave, bubble are fine (as in small), the finish restates all of the above and the deliciousness factor is high. At this stage, this offers something in every dimension except complexity. But, all of the dimensions this wine offers are delicious and attractive.

At Bereche, Ludes. Ambonnay Grand Cru, 2018, 100% Pinot Noir. Striking and absolutely beautiful on the nose. Elegant berry notes and orange spray on the palate. Awesome richness here, with the same signature Bereche elegance that seems to typify these wines. Both velvety and precise, with notable Grand Cru power. Indicative of the whole iron fist/velvet glove thing. Almost succulent on the back end. Accessible and exacting. Finishes with outstanding length. A truly great wine. Disgorged in 2022 (48 months). …
