I gave this 92 points when I opened it. But my wife had a little left in the glass 5 hours after and it wow was it ever good, could be as high as 96 points. My nose was fresh bread and the taste was similar in a good way.

opened at 3:15 ... deep red, great energetic nose, moderate acidity and tannins; excellent balanced aging wine.

A perfectly enjoyable cabernet, but nothing really standing out. Its not past its prime maybe just in a weird lull

The last of 10 bottles purchased on release. Highly recommend, drinking superbly - drink or hold, leaning heavily on the drink as no further upside expected with further cellaring but with proper cellaring this still has years to go. Opened in bottle about 2 hours w/out a formal decant and that was about right. Dark purple, no bricking, soft mouth feel, complex, medium - full bodied, oak and tannins well integrated and a lovely long linfering aftertaste noted. Nose aromatic …

Very good wine. Softened a bit with time, but drinkable and delicious. Lighter tannis with dark berries and a hint of earthieness and leather.

Served with the dessert course at the Cakebread wine dinner. This is a very young wine. They told us that it had been opened for a few hours, decanted for an hour or so and then poured back into the bottle. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums, some dark cherry, tobacco and a touch of spice. The finish was moderate to long.

A very nice cab that didn't quite measure up to the Cakebead Dancing Bear that we had from the same vintage. Smooth and come nice cherry and licorice flavors to it.

Decent, but not spectacular Napa Cab. Smooth tannins, medium body. Flavors were all blended with nothing noticeable and jumping out. Seems past it’s prime already.

PnP to celebrate Wolf getting into USC. Not as fruity as I remember other vintages. It was a bit stringent. While ok, I expect much more at this price point.

I'll admit this wine was not an impressive showing for this producer, especially for the price, although I was expecting it to be worse based on the reviews.

An over-priced and over-done wine that tries hard to succeed in a difficult vintage - but fails in almost every respect. Dark red in color, full in body, nose of boysenberries, herbs, and leather. Tastes like sucking on a pencil after drinking grape juice: predominant tastes of scorched earth, charcoal, and graphite, with a little baked blueberry and prune underneath. 13.6% alcohol. This cumbersome wine seems like a tone-deaf failure in winemaking (e.g., making a big wine every year no …

Had this with a chicken pot pie. It was nice, very good nose, well balanced, good fruit. My only issue is that price, it's a little high for a wine that I would say is good, but not great. Maybe 2011 was a roughy year for everyone in California.

good the first night and just as good the second. very balanced and smooth. does need some time to open. not your pop and pour. no after taste. a pleasure. actually wish all there wine was this good. 2011 turned me against them as they never should have sent to the wine club.

This wine definitely needs to be decanted. It's an intense smoky California cab sauv. Touch of spiciness just like the 2011 cab sau I tried as part of the tasting here in Hk. Should go well with steak or lamb. Selling for hkd13xx. Expensive

Opened and let breathe two hours, probably should have decanted. Not a lot of complexity and was tight on the nose. Chocolately and faint dark fruit. Not sure that it will improve to 90+ pointer with age

well after drinking Cake bread's generic 2011 cab which was just not up to my standards and if I were them I would not have released, I figured after reading the other tasting notes that 2011 was just not for them. BUT while it is not a big cab it is pretty good. Perhaps not worth the money, but in my view a very nice balanced smooth bottle of wine that will improve

Not horrible but not great, just marginally ok. Very thin, not much body, not much flavor. Its a $20 bottle of wine right now at the most. It would need a miracle to become great with age. Way over priced in my opinion for $85. This was purchased direct from winery and has been stored perfect since. maybe and off bottle???

Opened the bottle, decanted and let breathe for 45 minutes. Bottle definitley needs 2 hours to breathe before consumption. After 2 hours the wine opened up with an incredible richness.
