La Vendemmia Amarone della Valpolicella

Grabbed from the cellar for Turkey Day 2021 and popped & poured. This wine looks its age, with substantial browning at the edge. Nose is a bit musty, some licorice, some black fruit. Strong spice up front on the palate followed by sweet ripe black fruit, with some eucalyptus, mint and substantial earthiness. Length is so-so. All in all, this wine is drinking beautifully today and is an excellent accompaniment to our turkey. Nice!
