Quintessential Chablis, a textbook expression, showing a sizzling acidity, loads of chalk, lemon zest, lemon pith, oyster shell, and plenty of intensity. This tastes like its only 2 years old, and has a bright future ahead. Proper Chablis! Well stored bottles will easily last another 10 years.

This has aged and smoothed out beautifully since my note of 4 years ago; rounded out with added complexity while maintaining classic Chablis minerality and acidity. Gorgeous even on second day open, so no rush. 92+

Drank this outside on a warm sunny day, it looked clean and clear. On the nose I got citrus and some apple. It was dry, acidic, and very mineral-y. Super refreshing, I was surprised how well I was drinking it, really enjoyed it, and I would do it again.

Medium yellow. Not a big nose, but gentle whiffs of fruit and stone. The palate presents as quite ripe and forward. Stone fruits intermingle with quince and citrus. No really overt acidity, but the finish is quite long and lingering, which I did not expect. Absolutely terrific as I’ve come to expect from Laroche’s Fourchaumes. This is in the spot now, but there’s absolutely no rush. Textbook Chablis with all the chalk and minerality one could dream about, but there’s also enough fruit to keep the wine charming.

this is an outstanding Chablis with wonderful bouquet of grapefruit, melon, and peach. we pared with eggplant rolitini with ricotta, spinach, lemon zest and garlic stuffing. our friends loved it as well.

(14/20) Blind tasted. Not very aromatic, lots of buttery tones, MLF to the max. Fresh but not very characterful, bit simple even. Not bad though. No idea what this is. Pinot Grigio perhaps? A more sleekly cool minerally leaning Chablis - crushed oyster shell, sea foam, lanolin and wet slate on the nose.. Clean pure salinity meets minerality on the palate. Some white flowers chiming in. Lovely.

Almost like biting into fresh off the tree of Macintosh , pippin, & fugi apples. Rich golden color, with bits of Carmel notes, green quince, & wintergreen in an nicely structured length and acidity. Won’t wow you with its ripeness or richness , but you will love it for its freshness of fresh fruit & finesse. It does improve with the sweat coming off the bottle. Definitely a great French food wine can only compliment your experience.

Lively pale yellow color. Expressive aromas of lemon curd, white flowers, and chalky wet stones. The pallet features white peach, green apple, lemon and minerals. One of the better Chablis GC’s I have tasted - and 2018 was a pretty hard vintage. Today’s pairing: shellfish. I compared with the last glass of the German Sekt that I logged earlier - this Chardonnay was by far a better match. Soo fresh, elegant, lean and well balanced. Floral with lovely minerality. In the glass, the wine pours a pale/straw yellow. Typical for white burgundy not native to a specific vineyard. On the nose, there is a bit of oak/honey which is atypical of proper Chablis. Medium nose is muted, yellow flowers, lemon yogurt, lemon pith, seashell. Palate much more expressive, complex layers of lemon zest, cream cheese, wet stone, raw nuts, medium plus acidity, phenolic grip kicks in showing it's youth and ageability. Long finish. Pricy but promising.
