Great showing of the 04 Marc Colin Monty. It showed hazelnut, white flower, and lemon curd. The palate was elegant yet it was also subtlely powerful and complex. 94-95

Opened 4 hours before tasting, the wine was surprisingly young at the start with a very pale color showing few signs of evolution. The nose develops on notes of hazelnuts and honey, with a beautiful, well-integrated toast. On the palate, the juice is ample and concentrated. It is racy, noble but above all, the freshness of the wine, thanks to its acidic texture, is striking. The wine reveals itself in several facets, sometimes floral and expressive on a background of …

Beautiful wine drinking at peak. Based on this bottle limited upside in waiting too much longer.

Drunk at Fishteria in Hong Kong - Definitely white of the night for me. Elegance and balance are the words that come to mind. An amazing example of the subtle use of oak to provide the backbone that allows beautiful fruit to express its minerality. Very moreish! I'm not convinced the CT drinking window is even close here, this wine has a lot more in the tank I think.

Having been impressed by the magnum of the 2004 Marc Colin Montrachet 3 years ago, the regular bottle certainly did not disappoint. Beautiful Monty that had honey, minerals, hazelnut, straw and spearmint. A very elegant montrachet that kept evolving in the glass with layers. Drinking very well now.

Drank from a magnum. A textbook ready to go amazing montrachet. The nose had honey, white flowers, tropical fruit, and toasted nut. The palate was very deep with high complexity and a very nutty aftertaste. Still very young. Good for another 10 years if the condition is good.

Beautiful wine drinking perfectly at this time. Some smoke initially blended with citrus and minerals. Precision and pure…wonderful wine.

S.F....La Paulee style! (S.F. Ca.) : From mag. Beautiful pure bright fruit...smoky flint, chalk powder, exotic spice....still plenty of youthful acidity...should continue to age for a long long time.

Improved since the ~18 months since I had this first, and is now showing a flowery nose, with smooth, moderate richness and great purity.

made by Pierre-Yves Colin - great acidity and vavavoom fruit! But for this level of wine, this is not as it should be.
