Rich orchard fruit start-to-finish with very good density. Plenty rich but with a taut acid backbone. Very good now.

Birthday Celebration (State Street Manor & Racquet Club - Chicago IL) : Walk around tasting. Rich orchard fruit with very good old vine density. Still fat in the middle but brighter on the finish. Their first vintage here, and a great start.

Popped-and-poured, then enjoyed over 2+ hours, with the final glass enjoyed 20 hours later. Some reduction to start on nose, which quickly dissipated after 15-20 minutes in glass. Some further reduction on the finish remained all of Day 1, but was gone Day 2. Nicely floral once past the reduction, with lots of bright lemon and some apple. Good concentration with plenty of structure that makes this very bright, and makes me think there is further upside as it slightly …
