San Antonio Wine Geeks - Rhone Varietals (for the most part) (Luke) : Bright floral nose with raspberries and strawberry. Clean fresh palate with lovely acidity, just a hint of alcohol and mineral finish. Perfect starter.

What we need right now. A nimble, balanced, nuanced rose with loads of fruit, acid balance, and charm. Truly perfect for the warmer months!

And here is it: the perfect rose. Lovely aromas of warm strawberry rise up from the glass, along with some stone and even a bit of baked earth. The flavors are pure strawberry, flecks of mineral, with a dry yet juicy aftertaste. Just stunning.

Pale salmon. Not much on the nose. Palate is one-dimensional, with nice acidity but only tiny hints of strawberry and earth. Refreshing and drinkable, but almost no qualities that would identify this as a rose or from the pinot grape. Pale pink. Very crisp and fresh- almost effervescent. Some disagreement between my wife and I whether this was a bit unbalanced in its acidity- maybe a bit too tart. Some alcoholic sweetness on finish. Not my favorite pink of the early warm weather season.
