My third and last bottle. Still nice after another two years. Some oak, some spice, ripe berries. Nice red!

Drank next to a 2018 CR and it was such a contrast. So many more flavours with the age and such a lot more complexity

Magnum. Faint nose of molasses and dark fruit. Palate shows a strong blackberry flavour, with notes of charred eggplant and raisin. Medium-bodied, with moderate tannin and strong acidity.

Plum and eucalyptus, it has started to mellow, an hour in the decanter. Softer than it had been, this is developing nicely.

And to have gone into brooding mode, well leave for 6 months before the next bottle

High alcohol but unoffsensive and rather generic but at this price, fair enough, high quality if not intellectual product. Simple, bold and enjoyable.

What a difference time makes. Really nice now. Fruity, deep red with oak, spice. Recommended!

Rich sweet dessert of hot vanilla cream sauce, black fruits medley of black cherries, blackberries, plum. The Attack on the palate is excellent, acid & spice melting together all at once in perfection .... Ruby coloured Another reason why the obsession about this varietal.....

Rich, ripe, blackberries, sweet cherries, ashy black earth. Sweet perfume peppers, leather and very juicy ripe spices. Savoury minty finish. Midbodied and translucent, yet dense.

Robust nose of plum, blueberry, blackberry, vanilla and cedar oak. Palate has firm, but supple tannins. The 16% ABV is noticeable, but not too bad. Finish is a bit simple. A wine for fans of BIG Barossa shiraz. Might be better in a few years.

Overripe fruit with a soiled strain permeating. Still good for the money. But not much money. So not much good.

I love CR but that's as high as I can give it. Plenty of modern fruit of course but burnt sides and generally off kilter.

Decanted for 2 hours before drinking. On the nose it is dominated by intense black fruits and savoury notes. The palate follows through. Lots of fruitiness well balanced by subtle tannins. The texture is almost jammy but not overtly so, and is balanced by a delicious lingering finish. Overall excellent mouth feel and deliciously flavoursome. A lovely drinker. I'd be interested to see how it manifests over the next 10 years.

Its inky black colour tells you where the game is heading from the get-go. Those looking for light, Euro-savoury reds, please look elsewhere. This is a no-apologies, formidable, big, rich, modern Australian Shiraz par excellence. What it lacks in subtlety it makes up for in sheer and utter fruitdriven plushness. Like a liquid coconut roughie. Every bit as good as the last release.

Christmas pudding, didn't go as well with the tuna quiche as the standard Chris Ringland Shiraz did yesterday, too much alcohol. Still needs time to soften somewhat.

Nice for the price. The kind of wine that's a happy drinker for having the friends over for a bbq. Lighter than expected body (given it's Ringland and 15%alc) with predominant light red strawberry and no trace of darker fruits. Consistent across the palate, but one dimensional. Happy but forgettable.

As with all the Ringland range; a beautifully made wine for the price. A few pepper notes dancing across the palate of sumptuous alcohol.

Paired with aged ribeye. Light to medium bodied. Fruit forward and tannins well controlled. Little spice and wood comes through. Medium finish. A nice wine! Went great with the ribeye :)

Wow. Another stunder From Ringland. 15 %and you feel it but not more than the beautifull fruit is able to handle. If you love good Barossa Shiraz this is a must buy.
