One of my highlights of 2024 From a Magnum that was kept in perfect condition since purchase. Everything I love about wine : elegant and smooth but also full of life, perfect balance of acidity and depth, red fruit still dominating tertiary aromas but tannins very well blended in. Great length and medium bodied. Highly recommended!

Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, licorice and sweet herbs and spices. On the palate ripe red berries, full bodied, round, beautiful and juicy acidity and tannin. Very beautiful wine.

I had this first in 2018. Was never disappointed since then. Always performed well. Now it's the first time that I think it's on the descending branch. Maybe there is bottle variation but I think it's beginning to loose its fruit and vertical pressure. Beautiful wine though but there were better experiences with this one. There are two more in the cellar but I will not wait too long to open the next one. Let's see...

Again this wine delivered very well! Had this about 5 years ago for the first time and it never disappointed since then. There are black aromas and freshness in the background. Very good structure. The only thing this time: it's a little bit adstringent at the end. Maybe our fault, because we kept it at the table in the restaurant after 3-4 hours "shoulder free" on a cool place. The warmth at the end during consumption didn't do it any …

Great Austrian Blaufränkisch-dominated red. Fresh, but powerful nose. Cigar box, flowers, forest floor. Red and black fruits on the palate, very precise and with pressure...a beauty! Lasting long...In a great spot now, but far away from the end of its life

Perfect drinking window. Nose: floral notes, very precise, tobacco and wet leafs, no barnyard, fresh. Palate: there are red fruits, sweet black cherries and a lot of pressure on the middle palate. Still some tannin, could go for another 5-10 years but is almost at its peak. Very good!

Tasted double blind. I’m not familiar with this winery or cuvee. I found it quite interesting and layered on the palate but I can’t go higher than 91 point as the nose was very subdued, the harmony on the palate was subpar and as I’m not particularly fond of the style. Anyway, very solid and I would like to try this again someday. TN: Very muted notes. Much more open on the palate with lots of minerality and earthy notes …

Opened - tasted - ??? Very big and jammy ! Slightly crying !!! Than decantd for 3 h ! Tasted ..... What a difference. No jam . This was warm , dark fruity . Not too much. Choco and coco ! Rich and round. Very nice. No hurry . But drink !!!

Weekly tasting group #209; Old world 2006 (@ BS) : Beautiful bouquet with dark and red berries, cherries, sweet spices, a lot of vanilla, cedar and some coconut and autumn impressions. On the palate ripe and sweet cherries, beautiful acidity and round tannin with still a good bite. Really beautiful wine with good complexity and length. Ready now and the next few years.

Quite intense dark-toned, leathery, oaky nose. Full body. Feels quite flabby despite present tannins. Oaky and boring. Spicy finish. Some dark fruit, raisins and oak again in the aftertaste.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #061; Austria red. (By IL) : Garnet color. Intriguing bouquet; a bit dusty, soft spiciness, coffee and cedar. On the palate almost like a Californian wine with good concentration, some sweetness and eucalyptus. Juicy. Beautiful soft but still firm tannin. A little bit drying in the finish. Really nice wine.
