Cooked, or some such.

Initial impressions: Nose of vanilla-laced fruit. Black- and blueberry compote. Touch of oak and sweet chocolate. Very smooth, minimal grip. Quick finish at this point. By aroma, mouthfeel, and taste, this seems like Hall Winery was aiming to make a Caymus-style wine (at nearly half the price). I'd say they mostly succeed.

Aromatic showing blackberry, vanilla, caramel and black pepper. Those 40% new barrels must be heavily toasted! A bit too much for my palate. Full bodied , medium acidity and plush tannins. NI:4, FI:22, FC:8, B:3, L:4

We agree it's a nice Cab at a fair price. I will buy a few more to see if it merits inclusion on our House Red list. It's young but promising.

Let's say you're lactose intolerant but you LOVE chocolate. THIS is the wine for you. Pretty decent wine for the $40 I spent at Wine & More... EZ tannins and a nice aftertaste. The remarkable flavor, though: chocolate. Wow. Smooth wine chocolate. I may need to get more!!
