Smooth, easy drinking. A little bit heavy on the fruit, easy on the tannins. Would be a good basic wine to provide for a diverse group of people as it will not offend anyone.

Medium ruby in color, medium weight. Not much on the nose - red fruit. Red berries and vanilla on the palate. Simple, drinkable and $10 at the state monopoly store.

Tasted at 2nd Annual NYC Winter Wine Festival @ Best Buy Theater in Times Square, NYC. Dark berry & coffee notes w/solid tannins & moderately long finish.

Much better than the 2006 which was a decent cabernet. I have tried a few 2007 cabs and this one is the most ready to drink but can definitely age a few years. Much of the fruit is Alexander Valley. Blackberry, coffee, good tannins, long finish. 15$.
