Wow, has sat in the cellar since 2011, it is golden in colour and silky smooth, drinking wonderfully now. Just go for it! Glad I kept it so long

Real Review - Top Wineries of Australia/Cellartracker in the flesh with Vintomas (Ovolo, Wooloomooloo) : Ooh, a little kerosene, crunchy orchard fruit, touch of eucalyptus leads to an almost sauvignon blanc note. In the mouth it's juicy, tart, hard, with sulphur, green apple and non delineated citrus. Meh.

2023 vintage

Lovely bright mid gold with a fleck of green. Nose fresh and lifted, clean as a whistle (no Kero) pithy citrus. The palate is alive. Gripping fine acid keeps you coming back to the glass. Not overly complex but beautifully balanced. This bottle still has time in its legs.

2009 vintage

Pale lemon gold. Citrus, honey and pine sap on the nose. I don’t see the kero of the other notes it’s not broad or advanced enough for that. Crisp lemon and pine sap on the palate with a touch of alka seltzer. Beautiful wine which probably needs food and with time in hand. 2024?

2008 vintage

Bickford’s lime cordial, dry apple cider, and granite minerality. Plenty of length but lacking the vitality/spark this evening for higher points... probably a little past its best and beginning a gentle decline.

2009 vintage

Lovely kero nose, rich hue. After 10 yrs still plenty of fruit, bit of acid on the front with long finish. Great WA riesling. Has a few years left in it but no crime to drink now. Great wine

2008 vintage

Gorgeous wine; lovely balance here. Kerosene nose wasn’t as strong as expected. Citrus fruits and a Broad, well balanced acid line maintain for a persistent, lingering finish. Absolutely Delicious. Im going to give the next bottle a few years to see what happens.

Fair whack of kero up front, and if you see that as fault, you won’t like this so much as I did. Beyond that, wonderfully intense citrus and citrus zest, some apple. Minerality and river pebbles. Length and finish outstanding.... still has that leprechauns dancing on tongue thing going on that it had many years ago when I first tasted as a younger wine. 94 or 95... superb drinking, in any case.

Lovely developed nose of kero and citrus. Still retains the steely WA fruit on the front. long finish. may develop further but does not have a huge future in front of it. Drink over next 2-3 yrs

A touch too much kero for my liking, well rounded with nice profile though. Good for those who don't mind that full on Kerosene punch

Light straw with green tinges. Lovely aromatic nose of citrus fruit and a bit of kerosene. On the palate, lemon and lime, a dusting of sherbet. Very long, good acidity. I feel it's on the cusp between fruity youth and petrol-y age. In the past I have loved this wine and found it one of Australia's best Rieslings; this one, at this age, strokes me as very good but not great. Screwcap, 12.5%.

2009 vintage

Strong nose of chalk and talc. Time reveals scents of lime leaf and orange blossom. Palate is medium-bodied, with a mouth-filling acidity: persistent, pervasive, and tingly, but mild. There's plenty of chalkiness, and just a hint of glycerin. Nothing is overpowering; it's well-balanced, with a long finish. Behind the chalkiness and minerality are hints of tropical fruit: mango, lime leaf, and guava. Rather hard and austere: not instantly lovable, but gets better the longer it's open.

Kind of in that dead zone for a Riesling, not old enough for the syrupy sugars not tough enough for the crispness. Felt like a bit of the fruit had come off, but solid all the same

{screwcap, 12.5%} pale straw. Some Citric lemon qualities to the slightly developing aromas along with a whiff of musk. The palate is quite dense, heavy with lemon and a little talcum powder, medium acid, a sense of grape skin tannins almost. Medium length and medium weight; it's ok but not outstanding. Should easily age another 8-12 years but I'm not sure it's got the acidity to really enthral.

2009 vintage

Supper with the WSET diploma guys at E & M's - theme was wine to accompany seafood (E & M's in the rocks, Sydney) : slightly candied lime and lime peel, touches of fresh cut grass and notes of diesel & leather. In the mouth the wine has medium plus slightly zesty lime…it's tangy, slightly phenolic mid palate grip. Long but a little simple for me.

Floral, lime and slate on the nose. Zesty palate, nice refreshing acid. Long finish. Good wine.

2009 vintage

Pale lemon, medium aromas of ample tropical fruit like lychee, mango, eucalyptus, and the diagnostic petrole. Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium flavours of ripe tropical fruits, lemon, herbaceous, mineral. Medium (-) body, well balanced acidity-fruits, good medium-long finish, fresh, pleasant texture. Much better than last time..

Nice crisp Riesling but not tart. Smooth textures and refreshing. Medium to long finish.

Lime, mineral, apple, very dry, exceptionally long finish. Somehow a bit awkward, maybe the adolescent years have begun.

2009 vintage

WSET Intermediate L5 : WSET 2. Clear, light straw. Moderate nose with loads of petrol, oak/toast, eucalyptus and some tropical fruits shine through. Dry, high acidity, a bit biting, citrus flavones, medium bodied. Not balanced to my liking. Leaves dry mouthfeel. Value/money= 6.

2008 vintage

Pale colour. Delicate floral nose. Palate is also delicate, delightful & delicious. Leads off with apple, slight touch of lemon, and mineral which may or may not be quartz, but that's what comes to my mind. Just enough acid to support the wonderful flavours. The finish is long and magical, feels like 1000s of leprechauns dancing on your tongue.

2008 vintage

Very pale. Flowery blossomy nose, apple to start on the palate, then lime, minerals, salt. Very long acidic finish, slightly zesty.
