This wine has lost its complexity but its quality still shows. Worked nicely with weekend leftovers. Interestingly, thought it tasted better the second night.

My last bottle, rated as outstanding this time, so achieved its highest standard ever for me with this bottle. Lovely waves of deep berries in suave, silky finish. It took about an hour to open up, so if anyone has bottles left, expect great delights for years to come.

YummmmmMeritage. Enjoyed with Kate and Janny at the BoJo's.

Had it with braised lambs tongues, cardoon casserole and duxelles. Decanted for about 2 hours. Spicy, refined cassis fruit, grippy tannins. A great bargain that's still drinking really well. I hope this wasn't my last bottle.

Last bottle, left uncorked 8 hrs, wife used first 1/4 for cooking chili, consistent with my previous notes, its best days have passed, light mouthfeel, medium length finish with light tannins, seemed sour, will use the rest for cooking.

Perfectly servicable, medium weight, fruit on the palate and fine grained tannins. The medium weight palate is what drags down the ratings here IMO.

Drank over two days. Day 2 was a little better than day 1. Color was dark purple with red brick on the edges. Nose was fragrant with dark fruits, menthol and anise. Lots of fruit on the nose. Tastes of red and purple fruit, plums and cherries. I do taste some of the tart from the high acidity, but overall this wine was great. Wish I could buy again.

OK I lied, although I suggested 4hr decant on my previous note I only went 1 hr this time, light nose, medium mouthfeel, some heat on finish with strange aftertaste, light tannins, just a basic everyday drinker, reasonable QPR at $14.

Let air for 2 hours. Very nice! Medium bodied with red and blue fruit. Smooth throughout with a good finish.

I agree with redwinefan from 7/31. I had one corked bottle, a 2nd that tasted strange, now a 3rd that seems different than my previous notes. Wine seems bitter/acidic with little nose/fruit. Day 2: Wine 'normalized', not much fruit, medium mouthfeel, medium length finish with some heat, light tannins, definitely has lost some appeal, will decant the next one at least 4 hrs.

I'm not sure if I just got an off bottle or if this wine has entered a dumb phase, but this bottle was completely shutdown with very little to the nose even after a few hours of decanting. I've previously had an excellent bottle of Lot 182, and I've got many more in the cellar, so I'll hold off rating until my next bottle.

Poured through Nuance, left glass on counter 2 hrs, I continue to enjoy the medium weight with just enough structure to keep interesting, nothing special but fits my palate, rated a point higher than 7 months ago, only 20 more bottles to go :)

Still drinking well. A little tight still upon opening, but great with an hour or so of air.

A little extra time to come off bottle shock helped this out. At pop, not great, but well made with slightly thin but elegant texture with medium to dark fruit offset by a bit of smoke and slight bitter notes that I like. But really come forth more with air, the medium to dark fruit was there and the smoke expanded to incense, perfume, smoke, tar, and charcoal with a solid tart acidity to bring balance and giving it a …

No formal notes, as this was served at Christmas dinner. Still quite dark for a bottle of wine 5 years after the vintage, this was good, if reasonably unremarkable. Not too much oak, notes of blackberry, decent but unspectacular length, not hugely complex, but very easy drinking and with no rough edges or major flaws. An outstanding bottle for a mere $12.

Good value, nice acidity and has a few more years left in the tank.
