Charleston Restaurant Baltimore (Baltimore, MD) : Rich rustic Pinot noir, with earthy notes of plum, licorice, smoke, cassis and leather. Surprisingly hefty, reminded me of Russian River or Victoria. Bit of alcohol. Still delicious.

Great Pinot. Noise is already producing some tertiary aroma such as mushroom and truffle as well as cranberry and strawberry. Palate is light but flavors are nice. Notes of red fruit and low acidity and tannins.

Fantastic! Well balanced and flavorful. Second Alsace Pinot that we’ve had after the Charles Frey and it is almost if not equally as good. Alsace is a new favorite Pinot region to explore more.

Lots of VA at first. Usually I’m pretty tolerant, but I was debating even drinking this further. After time in a decanter…a couple hours it pulled together somewhat. Still felt the VA on the finish, the nose came together. Still too disjointed for me. Bottle variation? There’s clearly life in it still.

(at Petite Louis - Baltimore) A nice, bistro pinot that is true to character with maybe a bit more heft than is typical for basic bottlings from the region. Fresh, bright and satisfying. Not a fan of the value but enjoyed. (88)

Excellent PN, raspberry, mushroom, floral notes… good acid, light body, but some of that ‘alluring’ essence of many great Pinots. great overall!
