Rich garnet color. Very California with iodine (a bit of a surprise in a vintage like '06) along with cherries (expected) and black pepper (nice!), classic cherry cola Carneros finish. Holding up VERY well--good to the last drop.

Drinking nicely. Nice bottle for the $. Had alongside a Willamette Pinot. Striking contrast between this robust Carneros style and the lighter OR wine.

A beautifully aged pinot. Color is starting to rust; Lots of sediment. Strawberries and red fruit, a cedar note, good acidity and earthiness.

Popped and poured. Hints of stewed fruit and really nice secondary flavors of bacon and a bit of leather have developed. Over the course of the bottle, as is usually the case, the wine really improved, going from Good, to Very Good, to the verge of Excellent.

On the nose, a deep black raspberry nose with a bit of eucalyptus and heat (14.2%). After a swirl or two, the raspberry evolves into more of a sour cherry on the palate but overall, there is not a ton of fruit here, mostly acid and a hint of tannin. Certainly not an overblown fruit bomb, but rather a food friendly, nice pinot.

Typical cherry cola. But a bit more balanced and more nose than the Keller Pinot Noir. Not as complex as the Laetitia Pinot Noir.

Medium light red color3mm pale meniscus at margin. Aearted, but did not decant. This was the last of my bottles and was a fitting conclusion. Nose is still floral , but, it is tapering, now more strawberry fruit, earth, cedar, a bit of a dusty character, and lots of peppery spices. Elegance on the palate, a lighter style with nice depth of flavors, consistent on the palate, has a rather spicy finish. Tannins have integrated nicely.

Another nice bottle of this wine. Very fragrant nose of freshly picked cherries with some earth and oak. Bright, pure flavors on the palate with some cranberry - including the tartness - and spice. Smooth medium body with good acidity and a long fruity, tart and brambly finish. Light and delicate, but with intense fruit flavors and plenty of grip. Still have some left, but like other tasters, wish I had bought more. 90+

getting a little smoke on the nose this time. fruity and smooth, but a slight alcohol bite on the back of the palate. heavy for a pinot, which is A-OK with me.

No formal note, but very good once it opened up. Should at least Vinturi the next one.

Second bottle of this. Fairly similar to the first, but showing more earth and spiciness. Medium dark red color. More body this go round. Nose is very floral, red fruit, as noted.. Finish is still bit sharper, I think there is a edgy spiciness as well as some tannin giving it that impression. This was also a pop and pour. (306 views)

Lovely, fragrant, complex nose of cherry, cranberry, rose petals, earth and oak. Medium body with good structure and grip. Medium, slightly brambly finish. Light on its feet, but with good flavor intensity. Very enjoyable.

bright red, closer to pink than purple, a look that makes you think it will be faint but it is decidedly not. nose of cut flowers, which continues to the palate with just a faint hint of alcohol mixing in, especially on the finish. real potential at opening failed to evolve over 2.5 hours into any real complexity. Very good and could have reached outstanding with just a touch of complexity.

Bright Red, medium depth of color. This is somewhat lighter style, elegant pinot. The nose is floral with bright red fruit, mostly raspberry and strawberry. There is a bit of spice on the palate as well. The tannins are a bit sharp making the finish just a bit off. Did not have time to decant, so score may improve with future bottles.

A decent Calif Pinot, but a little too "bright" for me. Seemed to mellow a little through the bottle. I might let the next one breathe a bit.

Red candies in hay. As good on day 2 as day 1. Not my favorite: I thought the 2005 was much more layered and elegant. This is more forward. Still very refreshing, plenty of youth still present.
