Pineapple, creme chantilly at first, later with notes of sea salt, butterscotch, and honey. Reasonably sapid and long, but not yet *really* compelling.

The 2012 Haut-Brion opens with a focused bouquet of blackcurrant pastille, briary plum and cedar, layered beneath a hint of graphite and mocha that speaks to its precise oak regimen. On the medium-bodied palate, ultra-fine tannins cradle supple waves of black cherry, white pepper and truffle, while lively acidity keeps its 14.8% alcohol beautifully in check. The finish is strikingly persistent—smoky minerality and savory bacon-fat undertones lend lift and elegance—making this both immediately charming and well worth further cellaring.

Very pure and aromatic, although complexity is not shown, yet.... Far from its best drinking window.

Sadly no formal note but this was very enjoyable. Soft on the palate and fresh green grass on the nose.

Lemon lime, floral and mineral scents pair perfectly with fat, concentrated, fresh, lively layers of rich, lush, ripe, dense, sweet fruits, flowers and crushed stone. This is incredibly long, complex and vibrant.

En primeur tasting of the 2012 vintage at Château Haut-Brion (Château Haut-Brion) : The nose is slightly smoky, with gooseberry, yellow apple, wax, some honey, a hint of mint, some white flowers and other aromatic notes. Full-bodied on the palate, with yellow apple, citrus, some white peach, oily texture, straw, some honey, some mint, spice, medium+ acidity, and a long aftertaste. (93-95)? A heavier style than La Mission Blanc.

Honey, beeswax, Midori sour, lemon wax, flowers, spice and fresh Meyer lemons create a complex perfume. Full-bodied, rich and intense, the wine is incredibly, fresh, lively and mouth filling, finishing with serious intensity of flavors. 95-97 Pts

2012 En Primeur - Kelly and Kevin’s excellent adventure; 4/4/2013-4/9/2013 (Bordeaux, France) : Delicate yet expressivel nose that is already quite complex, white fruits and white flowers, saline, spicy and limestone. Lovely round palate and excellent concentration.
