It was past its drinking date but still ok to drink. I had kept it stored at 57 F degrees since I purchased it at Costco many years ago.

Please disregard my review of the 2014 vintage on 8/8/18. The bottle I reviewed was actually the 2008. Dark purple, smooth tannins. Paired well with beef shish-kabobs. Short-medium finish. Probably slightly past it's prime but still a nice bottle.

A lovely merlot. Needs to breathe about a half an hour. Great bang for the buck. Drinks well now but give it another year in the bottle and reap the rewards.

cheers - first of all, this is a $9 bottle of 2008 that I'm drinking in 2014 and it shows no signs of slowing down....how many $9 bottles can attest to that.....this tastes BIG like some California cab.....my first impression besides dark fruit etc was a bit tannic but it's mellowing a bit after being open for 30 minutes.....listen, it's worth trying.....would go well with spicy food or BBQ....yikes, I might buy it again....

Great wine. Full bouquet of vanilla and cherries. Palate adds plum, toasty mocha, and chocolate. Great mouthfeel and length, nice complexity. Wish I had more.

The wine looks Purple colored with medium legs. On the nose I picked up Cherry, Coffeem Cinnamon, and Chocolate. I tasted everything I smelled, but adding Black Currant and a hint of raison. The Cherry dominated both smell and taste for me. The body is Medium/Full with a somewhat fleshy texture. Wonderful balance of tannis provided a long pleasant fihish. I loved this wine. At $14.00 it is a great bargain.

Needed a lot of air..first day was rough, after 24 hours smoothed out some , but still has a nice big bite pairs well with stinky cheese, and definately steak. in fact quite yummy with steak and blue cheese butter:-) Earthy scent, barnish too. Some kind of cherryish and lots of smoke.

PNP. Nice subtle earth, cherry, and a little blueberry on the nose. Taste of cherries, a little dark fruit, leather, and some dusty tannins. Medium bodied, dry, and a little tight with nice tannins. Could use a little air or age. Very nice for the price. Wish I had more.
