I am going to up the game here. This was a flat out fabulous find for a magnum from Napa. Think I paid $140 for a magnum. Worth triple that as it drank as good if not better than some wines I have tasted over $300/ 750 ml bottle. Nose of ripe berries, some iron, and tobacco leaf. Picked-up another bottle in the secondary market at a nice price. Dark ruby/purple fruit - blackberry, blueberry, currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth but not as deep as some recent vintages - although this vintage is also at a more mature phase in comparison to the 2012 and 2013 vintages. Nice vibrant flavors of dark berries and a little spice. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over another two. Improved a little with time …

Good wine but way too pricey for results. Some oak and vanilla on second day with generally smooth finish. Not objectionable but was hoping for a lot more given the vineyard.

Gorgeous Beckstoffer profile of dark ripe fruit, berry, cassis, depth and concentration, the style I truly enjoy. This cab exhibits elegance with a touch of class. I really like this cab and I wish I had more. I probably stole this one at a price of about $70 or $80 bucks at a close out. I'll never get a value like this again. Highly recommended, if you can find it.

Hints of red fruit and floral notes. Not a lot going on in this wine. Not in the company of other To Kalon wines.

No great shakes. Too much dough for not enough show.
