Chez JPL: very little fruit left over, on its structure, some oak, this is an old school Fevre, before changing of the owner in 1998 (now Henriot/Bouchard).

two bottles unfortunately oxidized

One bottle showed incredible youth. Textbook Chablis Les Clos, in a traditional style with biting minerality and that flinty delicious mouth watering acidity. The second bottle was much more oxidised and flabby, with very little interest. I was camping (with 96 Chablis no less...), so I refused to be deflated as it was my last bottle of wine. Certainly had better showings. Drink 13% abv

Montreal Wine Guy Weekend a la Quebecoise; 3/27/2009-3/28/2009 (Wentworth North-Vinaigre's brother's cottage) : Stunning wine. Caramel, strawberry yogurt and ripe melon notes on the nose. Very seductive. The palate was a little lighter with decent to low acidity, green apples and citrus notes and some caramel on a medium long finish. One of the best whites I've ever had and although it became less interesting after 20 minutes in the glass, one of the oldest dry whites I've ever had. …
