PnP. Heavy bottle. Color is what you would expect. Nose is expressive - iron, pipe tobacco, and crushed cherries. Full bodied and balanced. Not a delicate flower. Enough fruit to match the acidity and tannins. Day 2 Did not put the cork back in. Nose had actually gotten better with baking spices like cloves and cinnamon in the mix. Fruit had receeded on the palate so the acid and tannins are more pronounced which helped counter the rich scalloped potatoes …

Deep purple/black color; restrained on the nose, started out a bit green but with more air, opened up with notes of red berries and leather. Full bodied but the fruit is restrained. Not a lot of tannin but its balanced and ready to drink. Will be interesting to see if it opens up as the night goes on.

Black cherry cola blueberry some dark plum. Texturally soft and smooth for a stout cab only 4-5 years old but a bit fruity dare I say jammy for my tastes. Would be an ideal pairing with charred steak , extravagantly rich. I won’t rate it with a score because this isn’t what I typically drink but an opulent treat nonetheless.

Decanted ~1 hour. Subtle spice and pepper. Beautiful juice. Wine is aging nicely with many years of life in it.

Given its youth, I was impressed by the subtlety of the wine. Dark and richly flavored but without the alcoholic overlay that often undercuts the "big" wines. Subdued aromatics, but beautiful black/blue fruits that then appear in the mouth. No tertiary development (no surprise). Medium-length finish. Decanted in Riedel for an hour. Nose of dark currents and cigar smoke. Black Cherry, vanilla and floral notes across the palate. Very long finish with hints of tobacco and cocoa. Nice balance of tannins. Drink it now through the decade. Well done, Drew and Josh!

This wine was so delicious! Loved the dark fruits. Smooth tannins. Full body. Long legs. Deep purple color. However, this wine is totally over priced. Many other WA are $50 cheaper and taste just as good if not better.

Black cherry, cassis and a touch of stemmy/green on the nose. The palate is dense with grippy tannin and medium body with a high note of oak in the back. Very nice for WA and could likely improve over time.

Deep purple color with slow legs. Great nose of new oak, blackberry and cassis. Plum, light toast and tea on the palate. Long satin like finish. Worth the price and glad I have two more bottles. Should age well.
