Chateau du Tailhas, Pomerol

Finally found an excuse to open one of a remaining case…The label is falling off, but still readable. The cork was a bit contrary and we ended up filtering and decanting the bottle. It was fantastic! A bit woody at the onset. The bottle went down too quickly and was tempted to continue with the rest…too much of a good thing and all…looking forward to the rest, but only with close family and friends…two thumbs up for a perfect Bordeaux.

Simple red berry fruits with some cedar, earth and tobacco. There is some animale and it is mid weight and perfumed.
