Deep dark ruby red. Essence of blackberries, bing cherries, cedar, loam and mint. Well integrated tannins and acidity. Layers of bing cherries, licorice, ripe red figs, prunes, mocha and coffee. This wine was worth the wait. Very enjoyable.

Roasted red pepper, tomato stem, toasted almond, peppercorns, even cigar. Intense, spicy, and profound in a very singular way that is Carmenere. When you're in the mood, this stuff is a delight.

Strong nose of tar, earth and cocoa. Deep purplish/bluish red all the way to the rim. Hits the pallet with an authoritative weight of cocoa and black fruit laced with ripe tannin and light acidity, like chocolate glazed sweet dark cherry. Alas, if only it'd be more layered and longer. Judging by the strength of fruit core, this can go another 5 years easily.

Not decanted. Exotic nose of pipe tobacco, mole/cocoa, old cigar, cream cheese, raspberry, black licorice. Good fruit extraction and strong tannins on the palate. Incredible wine.

Lush fruit and spice on the nose and on the palate. This was better after 1.5-2 hours in the decanter. Yes there is some complexity but this is mostly hidden by the huge oak and extracted fruit. If this is your style then enjoy.

92% Carmenere, 8% Petit Verdot. Preposterously heavy bottle. Dark, 'hot,' pretty alcoholic, and monolithic in style. Too young to really enjoy even with venison. Well made in what feels a very international style. Full in the mouth but very little length. I wonder where this will go? There's clearly some great fruit here, a shame they didn't try to make something more interesting and complex

Intense purple, no signs of its 6 years of age. Moderate intensity nose with plenty of dark fruit, dark chocolate, pepper and star anise. Full bodied, high tannins, moderate acidity. Plenty of song and dance on the palate with dark fruits, liquorice, vanilla, smoke and spices. The heat from the alcohol is noticeable. Long length. Needs food, esp meat to sing properly.

Lots of sediment - definitely decant. Dark fruit, espresso grounds, bell pepper. Decent on the first day, though not really my style. Approachable tannins. On Day 2, this was undrinkable due to an overpowering hexenal (vegetal) note.

Really good stuff. This is big boy wine so be prepared. I decanted this for several hours. This is dark dark purple, think inky black goodness. Its got that good carmenere coffee, spicy, peppery thing going for it. Its medium to full bodied and the tannins are grippy but not overly so. Mixed Bag, Mostly Bordeaux in KW (Chris' House) : Decanted for approximately 1.5 hours, and served blind. Deep inky purple, bursting from the glass with dark fruits of blackberry, blueberries, graphite, burnt rubber, vanilla, and off the chart levels of pyrazine, giving way to notes of fresh grass clippings, menthol and eucalyptus. Deep red - no bricking, slight musty elements on the nose that disappear after an hour in the decanter. The tannins are a trifle drying on the finish, the palate is deep and rounded with a degree of sweetness - but layered.

This seems to have hit its stride. Amazingly expressive and complex (though unmistakeably Chilean) nose, with pronounced capsicum, tobacco leaf, fig, blackberries, coffee roast, spice and loamy scents. Full-bodied, creamy textured with velvety tannins, very rich yet vibrant fruit, balancing acidity and a long aftertaste. Seductive. Personally I enjoyed this much more than the Alpha M cabernet sauvignon I had some weeks ago, which costs twice as much.

Nose: Charcoals, Grilled Herbs, Boysnberry, Blueberry, Cassis and some Earthy metallic notes. Palate: Very large in the mouth with a variety of black fruits, grilled herbs, and Finish: Charcoal really lingers on the back end. Notes of Blackberry Jam, Tar and Cigar. Significant tannins.
