4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house) : Notes of black fruit and bouillon cube. Ripe dark fruit on the palate. Medium(-) finish. The bouillon quality is a little ditracting but otherwise it's a nice little bottle of wine, although I am not sure what it is. No guess.

Nice experiment, lots of red and black fruits and exuberance, medium to full bodied. Tasty wine to have with dinner, lacking some acidity though that would have been nicer if it had more.

the nose was a bit off on this bottle. probably low-level tca. but the flavor profile was consistent with previous experiences.

this was drinking really well, with tons of perfectly ripe cherries and spice cake. the alcohol poked out too much on day 2, but I might have served it a bit warm. this has more life left than I thought with enough stuffing to last another year or two before going downhill. Fun fun wine.

smig vs. the wine barn (the wine barn, orlando, fl) : continues to impress. the nose, while complex, is more unique and intriguing than layered. still offers beautiful black fruits and chocolate-covered cherries, along with warm spice cake. the palate echoes the same, and the finish amplifies the chocolate component, almost like a black raspberry chocolate torte. lovely!!

showed beautifully, but may have served a bit too warm. nice translucent ruby color in the glass. a big, black fruit nose with some spice and bitter chocolate notes. the palate brings in the same, and the finish brings in nice acidity to keep the black fruit flavors pumping. this is such a fun wine because it is very unique. it blends characteristics of pinot, zin, grenache, and sangiovese into a lovely experience.
