Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon Six Ridges

Wine was well aged and ready to be drunk. Full cabernet flavor. Delicious.

Good $10 wine that still holds up.

long aftertaste, solid, soft tannins

Not much to this. Watered down and out of balance. Tannic and the fruit is masked

Moderate amount of fruit with cherry and other red fruits, spice, ruby color but not inky; this is a lighter weight wine of average quality, worth probably $7. Over priced at $14. Some bottle variation with some being more complex with mint and eucalyptus notes. 86-88.

High Low Blind Tasting Part II - Can you taste the difference NOW? (Amy and Scott's house) : Decanted 30 minutes and served blind alongside 2012 Outpost True Vineyard cabernet. The group completely nailed this as being a simple but acceptable cabernet. The term "porch pounder" was mentioned by a couple people. No one loved it, and no one complained about it being completely worthless. There were no votes for this wine over the 2012 Outpost True Vineyard.

A peppery flavor again with this different vintage. I find this wine to be very good for the price. It is one of my "go-to" wines when I see it on sale.

Oaky and simple, but this actually tastes like cabernet sauvignon. I can drink this, which is a plus down at this price point for cabernet.

Pnp. Fruit bomb out of balance. Cassis, black raspberry. Smooth with integrated tannins. Shallow mid-palate. Medium length finish. Great QPR for weekday Cab.

Pop and pour. This had some cabernet qualities, and some cheap wine qualities. Overall, acceptable quality for this price. 87-88.

Lighter, nice everyday cab

14,5% alcohol, 6,5 g/l acidity, pH 3,51. Aged for 23 months in American, French and Hungarian oak barrels. Tasted blind in VV. Very subtly translucent blood red color. Sweet yet somewhat restrained nose of overripe strawberries, vanilla, some blackberry marmalade, a little bit of sweet toffee oak and a hint of blackcurrant jam. The wine feels soft, flabby and rather sweet on the palate with full body and monotonous, overripe flavors of strawberry jam, cocktail cherries, some vanilla, a little …
