This is still surprisingly primary for a ten year old wine. Great acidity and fruit is not even close to downslope. This was my only bottle but if I had more I would wait until 2028 to pop my next one.

Agree with Texasbob almost entirely. Chalky on the palate. Sour red cherries. Waiting for the evolution, tomorrow will tell a lot. Not sure it has the chops for another ten years though. A blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. I suspect it is heavily weighted to the first two varietals.

Blood-red ruby color. Intense strong red cherry with solid wood on the nose. True to the name, it has a texture approaching chalky and features strong oak with sour red cherry notes. With time it softens and it’s more red cherries than sour red cherries, but the key elements of wood and cherries is constant. This should be able to ride for another decade.

Well made solid wine I’d happily drink or recommend.

My wife and I really enjoyed this wine, for one thing it doesn’t taste like oak barrels. Pure fresh berries from the first sip, refreshing and atypical.

Not bad. You are greeted on the nose for me with slightly dark slightly rustic fruit which opens with time to reveal fresher aspects. The palate reflects the nose with acidity keeping everything in balance. Touches of chocolate and tobacco add interest. For me a perfect wine for pizza or grilled meats. Dave P.S. I think Wine Ratings review is spot on. Especially his comment on the finish.

Good wine. Pleasant purple flavors with interesting spice accents. Easy to drink; bright but not tart. Well composed.

Blend of malbec, cf and cs, and all are evident in different ways (the green pepper of the cf, the chocolate/cola of the cs, the tannin and "purple" of the malbec). All relatively restrained from the type of AR wine we usually get in the states. I'm not seeing it presently add to more than the sum of its parts tho. While certainly fruit forward the tannins are of sufficient level to require food. In perhaps three years when those …

Winner Winner...Hint of cherry coke on palate (gotta like that). More acid and less flesh than last bottle in January. But same exact taste from glass 1 to glass 3 (balance of fruit and acid). Nothing out of the ordinary. Memo : Black coffee might've swayed my tastebuds but ane asy drink, I'd say.

Ripe fruit, spice, and most importantly, incredible freshness! Simultaneously typical and a-typical; if ever there was an Argentinian Malbec I could get behind, this would be it (in truth, its actually 92% Malbec with dashes of Cab Franc/Sauv). Fermented and aged exclusively in concrete eggs (a rarity in the country), the wine showed none of the over extracted, over-oaked nonsense that leave so many Malbec offerings syrupy sweet and indistinguishable. Instead, the fruit was pleasantly bright and the savoury side …

Lean floral aromas on the nose that bring to mind Foillard a bit with a stalky, resinous flower character. Quite lean (for a Malbec dominant New World wine) palate entry, pleasant weight and it's true, the fruit perks up as you accumulate it on your palate. A pleasant departure from gobs of overwrought wine, indeed. We liked it more than our Argentinophile friends did.

Not your traditional Malbec that's for sure. Didn't care for it at first but as it opened up, the fruit came forward, surprising spice, fine tannins. Decent finish. Writing this reminds me that I liked this one. I'll see how my other bottles do.

Interesting and tasty wine. Spicy and brambly nose with some vegetable bitterness by also blackberry and pepper. Surprisingly fruity, round mouthful with some structure, but not tannic. Nice finish with black fruits and pepper dominating. Doesn't have the body to stand up to traditional red wine roasted or grilled meats, but great with cheese and charcuterie. Something different and enjoyable.

Big fleshy fruit. Well-defined flavors while maintaining balance. Honestly, the aging in cement thing is kind of weird (esp. in the aftertaste). But a juicy, tasty A- it is.

Dark and brambly, with graphite, fine tannins, and a long finish. This is a well structured, clean, balanced, med-full bodied (13.9%) wine. Very refreshing compared to so many high alcohol, over oaked malbecs. And I think this will only get better.

A very different, yet very tasty Malbec blend. Very smooth but great fruit and well balanced.

A curious wine. Didn't really open up until day 2 and even then it was still stiff. Unusual flavors.
