Gifted this wine just a few days ago and decided to enjoy with our pan blackened ribeyes, baked potato, and charred peppers & onions. Gave it an hour in the decanter then poured for all. Beautifully aged with soft red fruit, fine, perfectly integrated tannins and a slight bead of acidity running through it. In a good place right now (and given the acidity has some time left) as the fruit has not fully trailed off yet. Paired very well …

This is a rare miss by N&N. Will update if it opens up but not betting on it.

Was expecting more. Light on taste. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are fast. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like chocolate, blackberry and cranberry. It tastes like blackberry, cranberry and dust. The body is light. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

I'm with THA on this one...overdone, lots of oak, don't know if it will come around.

Solid core of blackberries and cassis wrapped in cedar, mint and anise. The tannins are a little dry, but it's young yet. Really pretty texture and aromatic finish.

A perfumed, floral, and woody nose. On the palate, the oak is better integrated, but still dominates the fruit. Soft and unfocused. Cottonmouth tannins. Very dry. Fruit needs to be brought out better. Nice, dry finish. Overall, this is an oaky wine that lacks complexity. I don't think this will cellar well; once the oak and the tannins fall in line, the fruit could be gone. It will be interesting to revisit this wine (and this tasting note) in a …
