Straka Blaufränkisch Eisenberg

Had difficulty identifying a particular fruit flavor on the nose. Nose was primarily dried forrest floor - leaves, herbs, flowers, dirt. Potpourri. Minerals. Upon tasting, picked up dark berries, dried fruit. Medium body. Med+ acid, medium tannin. Interesting and enjoyable drink.

Light red that has a significant tannic bite on the finish. Inexpensive, and a good value with nothing not to like. Just nothing special. This is my first Blaufrankish, an up and coming varietal in the Finger Lakes of NY. Addendum: better on day three.
