a beauty of a a tuscan red. nose is amazing with all its elements of berry, barrel and lots of tertiary! pallet immediately reminds if bordeaux while having a great balance of acid and fruit / freshness. it was definetly worth waiting. but not too long anymore for the last bottle. need more bootles;)

Vinet är underbart just nu, men klarar garanterat några år till i källaren. Tät och med bibehållen frukt som balanserar bra med hög syra och påtagliga tanniner. Jättehärlig överraskning.

Wonderful fruity very full bodied nose. But very light in mouth(almost disappointing given the nose). The lightness is what “put me off”. Probably a nice drink for Apéro.

@ les Cavistes - La Toscane - A French style of wine from the Maremma region in Tuscany, located along the coast. 40% Merlot, 30 % Cab Sauvignon, 25% Cab franc and 5% PV. The wine was significantly darker than previous wines drank that evening, This was also less dry and more fruity than the two previous wines (expected!). The PV really added a backbone to the wine. Drinking wonderfully now

Un mélange bordelais où le Merlot domine. Encore fort (trop?) jeune, la robe est très foncée avec des reflets fushia. En bouche, c'est un vin qui évoque la puissance et la vitalité. D'un style qui fait très "nouveau monde". Sur une trame où défile cassis, mûre, bleuet, café, chocolat... on reçoit la masse tannique comme un coup de poing. Ça enrobe la langue et c'est presque gommeux. Très musclé comme vin, il aurait avantage à mon avis à être attendu …

Vin velouté avec des tannins fermes qui commencent à s'adoucir. Plusieurs couches de nuances de fruits rouges (baies sucrées, bleuets, cerises à l'eau de vie). L'équilibre est bon tout comme la longueur.

Still young. Strong red berry fruit on the nose; raspberry, dark cherry, cassis and plum with oaky toasted cedar notes and sweet butterscotch. The palate shows the same with youthful strong tannins that integrate well between oak and fruit. Drinkable now with some decanting but best in 8-10 years.

Lovely dark fruit on the nose and on the palate. Excellent integration and structure. Some nice oak application with resulting round and sweet wood notes. Some subtle spice elements but mainly pure, rich fruit packaged in a lovely delivery. Went with and a bit in a great pot of Cioppino with amazing results!

Upgrade from my previous rating. This wine will definitely benefit from a decant of about an hour. Lots of black cherry and dark fruit on the palate. Very well integrated with some nice tannins on the finsih. I was much more impressed with this wine the second time around.

Great nose of dark cherry, black raspberry and a clear spice component. Lovely delivery on the palate with more dark fruit, some additional spice complexity on perfectly defined structure and tannins. Pure fruit and round soft delivery make this wine memorable. Very high on the drinkability scale and will probably continue to evolve and get better.

D'autres bouteilles achetées et une autre douverture. Vraiment du solide il sera difficile d'oublier les autres bouteilles. Le vin paraît paraissait encore plus intéressant en bouche avec plus de lougeur et de persistance.

Robe foncée, presque noire. Nez sur le cassis avec une touche végétale "sucrée". Très belle structure avec une importante masse tannique. Belle longueur et a évolué magnifiquement dans le verre. Quelques bouteilles de couchées.
