Young, needs a good 20 mins to start to shine. Tart cherry initially, that becomes more fragrant with a little time. Light and delicious with grilled meats.

Really good. Sometimes there's nothing better than a good Rosso di Montalcino, almost to the point where I prefer them to the great Brunellos. Where the Brunello can be so fine that it almost hurts to drink it, the Rosso style seems to be more jovial, the kind of wine you are happy to have fill your belly. This is one of those.

This was terrific -- one of the better Rossos I've had. It was billed as a baby Brunello but I wouldn't describe it that way. Plenty of fruit without overt ripeness combined with some savory qualities. Well integrated acidity and negligible tannin. Remarkably light and translucent in color.
