Krupp Brothers Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 101 Cuvée

Opened at short notice. Fairly typical, light cassis Californian Cabernet flavours. Still youthful but drinking ok.

Full body, very smooth. Elegant length, black fruit and smell of violets

Deep ruby color. Pronounced aromas of plum, blackberry, charred wood, tobacco and a slight hint of graphite. Pronounced flavors of plum and blackberry. Medium tannins, medium acid and high alcohol. Moderately long finish A terrific wine for the price!!

Very strong cassis nose with cloves Soft and sweetish on the palate.

Deep purple color. Blackberry cobbler aroma with baking spices. Semi-firm entry and will benefit from some time. Leads with blueberry and then layers on dark cherries and chalk. Then a grippy finish. Well done. I'd buy this again. Good value. 90

Bright purple color. Bright young cherry fruit overwhelmed by bitter tannins and oak (chips or barrel?) and some heat. I would not expect aging to change the imbalance given the lighter fruit lacking depth and harsh tannins. Good solid everyday drinker, a couple of years in the cellar will bring out more depth.
