Deep purple colour, gentle black fruits on the nose, cassis and brambles. Not overly complex. Overt jammy fruit on the palate, with a slight undercurrent of alcohol. There are some soft tannins present but not much acidity. Don't consider this great value at the price i paid. Will save my remaining 4 bottles till next year in the hope it comes together more.

A bit perplexing. At first opening it will pucker your face off. After a decant for about 45 min it mellowed and rounded out and was pleasant to drink. On the more acidic end for sirah. Good with food (We had it with Burrata in warm tomato garlic). Rich fruit, some jam, minor vanilla and maybe even the slightest marzipan. a little bit of straight up grape juice on the nose but not in a bad way. Strong tanins still. …
