Domaine Saint André de Figuière Côtes de Provence Cuvée Valerie

Rolle, Ugny Blanc, Clairette ans Sémillon, 12.5% vol. La Dérive, Le Lavandou. PnP. On the nose lime with a suggestion of minerality, on the palate fresh with a nice bitter note, medium bodied, good length with a salty touch. Was a good match with the sole we had. Drink within the next 2 to 4 years.

On initial opening, nose was mostly citrus with notable minerality, but after an hour it was quite different with more pineapple and farm grass. Initial palette is also citrus but quickly shifts to an interesting, mouth coating, layer of faint lychee and almond. Such an interesting wine to taste. Will like to try again! Super pairing with pistachio crusted fluke with peach hyssop salsa.
