The nose on this is pretty much exactly what you might expect: somewhere right between a Gamay and a Cabernet Franc. Earthy and light fruit with a little green pepper streak. Good minerality. Just a super tiny hint of brettanomyces. Like, the good amount where it just adds a little extra note of something but doesn't take over the whole wine. Pre-release fall club shipment of the 2019 - not yet available for purchase. (2018 is still available). Loving this. I decanted this in anticipation of a weird taste on the finish we noticed with the 2017 (and which dissipated with air time). No sign of that with this wine even though poured immediately after decanting. As this is still a young wine I expect it will continue to evolve/improve with age but it's great now.
