Finished this too long ago to have useful notes

Initially I was going "nah" , but it took 2 - 3 weeks after opening the bottle to settle and reveal its goodies. Also , to my taste, the 2 cl dram needs almost a soup spoon of added water. Then boatloads of moscovado sugar with accompanying nutmeg and polished furniture, with a decisive bite in the back of the mouth in the length: great qpr. But as always, my rating ignores the price. Glad I have two more bottles. …

Decent bourbon but a little harsh. I prefer versions from Angel's Envy, Four Roses and Maker's Mark.

Got a 13 year old bottle from KL drawn from barrel #5300. An all around excellent product. On the nose it reminded me of a graham cracker crust cherry pie served in a strawberry field with a side of boiled peanuts. It also reminds me of an orange creamsicle with hints of jasmine flowers. Cheesy I know. On the palate I was met with impressions of roasted peanuts, waves of caramel and cotton candy, and a hint of spice that …

Consistent with previous notes. Almost down to the last few drops of my current bottle and looking forward to trying the higher proof Knob Creek single barrel offering. Excellent stuff and a tremendous deal if you can find both the small batch and single barrel under $30 like I did. -93 points-

I always keep coming back to Knob Creek. Great balance of honey, caramel, smokiness, and oak. The burn sits just right with me. Has plenty of character and personality. A great well-rounded bourbon that everyone should have stocked in their bar. -94 points-

Was a gift and a new experience for me, despite growing up in Virginia! Was afraid, 50% alcohol burning the nose, so I added an ice cube. Very woody scents, with cinnamon apple streusel and burdock root. Complex flavors of wood, spice, smoke and a sweet element of maple syrup, nutmeg, and chocolate. A whole new world, very southern and distinctive. Impressed.

This is lush stuff. The sweetness is just at the right level. Bourbon is never smooth, but compared to its peers this is smoother than most 100 proofers.

Aged 9 years. 100 proof (50% abv). Miniature 50 ml bottle. Smooth, rich, robust flavour. Too bad Bourbon County Kentucky is a dry county! Very good (85.5).
