Patrice Moreux Sancerre

Pretty nose. Pear and freshly cut grass with just a touch of classic gooseberry. Taut, medium-high acidity with a surprisingly richer-than-expected body. Crisp, but not as racy as I was prepared for. The palate is led primarily by the textbook Sancerre flinty-smoky quality with some grapefruit, straw, and burnt citrus peel (like you would get with a fancy cocktail). Everything here is in great balance and this was a little more complex than I expected. Tasty!

Aromas of honeysuckle, peach, apple, and lemon. Apple, gooseberry, citrus and herbal notes on the palate. Leads to a long, dry finish with balanced acidity. Served with chicken Florentine.
