This performed above my expectations. I don't remember my previous bottle to be as good. Slightly cooked orchard fruit (in a positive sense) and some nutty aromas consistent with a slight oxidative style not uncommon from a 100% Savagnin. In contrast it has plenty of freshness thanks to an uplifting acidic backbone. Persistent on the palette with mineral tones towards the end. This is quite lovely.

aromas of yellow peach, pineapple, orange, banana, delightful but not very "Jura", just a little toasty spice and nuttiness, no "Jura twang", this needs at least 5 years to become more interesting... on the palate it has impeccable balance, beautiful purity, great length, a delicious interpretation of Jura Traminer/Savagnin, but it kinda stuck out as not what we were looking for in a Jura night... would love to taste again in 15 years

Limited notes taken. Under DIAM 10. Opened two hours in advance. Pale gold to the eye. A feint touch of sandalwood, baked orchard fruit, blanched almonds, and a hint of waxy citrus peel. Broad and concentrated with bright acidity. Displays Burgundian characteristics.

Golden colour due to oak influence. Rich notes of melon, green apple, peach skin, and gooseberry. Wet stone notes at the end. Stunningly beautiful dry white with notes that follow the nose. A big apple juice kind vibe as well. Medium plus finish.

Sappy and intense, there is a potent core of orchard fruit here with a sneaky hint of anise or perhaps almond skin on the finish. Seems like this has plenty of stuffing to age well.

Sparkly crystalline medium straw color - lemon zest, golden delicious apples, yeasty and faint touch of oaky vanilla and grassy chlorophyll cream - luxurious chewilly concentrated silky mouthfeel - tartness rather than defining this savagnin wine supports the wine and beautifully - screams Burgundy - Marquis d’Angerville after all - I dig traditional Jura and all its maderized minerally bracing acidity framed orchard fruited stuff but dig this style too - a lot.

Lovely wine, took about 45 minutes to open up and strut its stuff, then an almost Burgundian chaacter emerged reminiscent of Pernand-Vergelesses but lighter without the structured depth. Great balance but as this was my first encounter with Domaine du Pelican I can't speak to its ability to age.

The fruit is sourced from the Grand Curoulet parcel, originally purchased from Jean-Marc Brignot in 2012. Replanted in 2015. Fermented in foudres and old oak barrels, 1/3 of the must is macerated with the skins overnight before pressing. Aged in old 500-liter demi-muids. 13.5% alcohol. Quite deep and somewhat concentrated yet relatively youthful yellow-green color. The nose feels moderately creamy and somewhat Burgundian with vibrant aromas of ripe Golden Delicious apple, some savory wood tones, a little bit of nutty …

Drinking this in LQV Singapore. Light green lemon Color. Very mineral on the nose, quince, roasted pineapple, orange, citrus, white pepper. High acidity, Med body, Med alcohol, Med+ flavor intensity, Med+ finish. Full creamy mouth, perfectly balanced with the citrus and acidity, still a young wine. If somebody told me this is a premier or grand cru burgundy wine, I would fully agree. Makes sense as the wine maker is one of the famous burgundy producers ?
