From another producer who I`m a big fan of personally, this matches well with Rick`s generous personality; it is very enjoyable, has nice fresh and ripe fruit with a hint of pepper, good structure and balance and length prevail.

Waited a bit too long to drink this, but still pretty darn good.

usually love this wine/vintage--this bottle was either off or the fruit has just diminished immensley since we last had it (about 1 1/2 yrs ago) Can really taste the oak--provided a meaty character. very rich tho--can taste the depth of what used to be fruit. have 2 more--hope they fair better

Disappointed. Perhaps waited too long. Little fruit character, round tannins but no complexity. Would not have expected this.

This wine with pork was great tonight -- very earthy santa barbara wine bit great for the region -- loved it.

Drinking very nicely now. The big Santa Rita Hills fruit has mellowed and left an overall well balanced wine. Probably still has some time left.

Bright cherry and raspberry fruit with just a touch of peppery spice and a big, mouth filling long finish. 91

I usually really like this wine -- but this one really disappointed. It was tight and even after several hours really did not taste well - it was not spoiled and bought from the winery and in temp cpntrolled cellar -- maybe just at a bad point but overall disappointed. To be clear it was not bad -- it just was not good.

We did a tasting of 4 Pinot Noir wines: A 06 Chehalem Stoller from Dundee Hills, a 06 Cristom Jessie from Eola-Amity, a 06 Williams Selyem from the Russian River Valley, and a 06 Longoria Fe Ciega from Santa Rita Hills. All of them were fantastic as EVERYONE agreed. Judging by what bottles emptied first however, the Williams Selyem was the most favorite, followed by the Cristom, then the Chehalem and finally the Longoria. But rest assured they all got …

Opened one hour before serving. I think this wine will be better in a few years. Nose and taste seem a little tight and opened up in fits and starts. Medium bodied with some heft. A little bigger style of pinot. Unfortunately we had the Longoria Pinot the day after we had a Le Cadeau Pinot. The Longoria Pinot suffered in the comparison, but most pinots would.

This is a big pinot, but not over the top. Cherry and cranberry dominate the palate at this point. Very good acidity keeps the finish going and cries for food (beef). No heat detected. Would let these sleep if I had more.
