Domaine Clos de la Chapelle, Beaune Premier Cru, Les Teurons

Color is a medium ruby red. The nose is fairly expressive with notes of ripe strawberries, soil, cinnamon and violets. The palate showed a medium concentration of sour cherry up front with ripe dark red fruit and mushroom on the mid palate. Smooth tannin and good acidity. The finish brings out some baking spice, not too much, but there is a touch of bitterness that’s probably my only real complaint. A great red burgundy, a beautiful wine.
