91 Color dorado, anaranjado. Nariz madura, opulencia, fruta muy madura. En boca mantiene equilibrio, un cierto frescor por la intensa acidez y fruta madura. Final bastante seco.

Golden yellow. Complex nose of apricot jam, honey and some hints of oxydation. Orange peel. Huge body and lots of power. Kind of sweet but lots of acid. Long finish with sligthly oxydative touch. Ripe but could be saved for some years more. Very good and intersting wine. For meditation and cheese.

OX’d. Good cork, no seepage but it’s oxidized.

Really interesting wine. Cokor is copper and we can surprisingly find copper aromas on the palate. Off dry, the aromas are really driven by pear cider and stone fruits. Paired well when foie gras and mango chutney. Great showing now, so need to keep it further.

Dark in color, almost looks like apple juice. Apropos because it has notes of red apple on the nose and palate. Great Chenin acidity balanced by a touch of residual sugar. A bit of wet wool and wax on the nose. Still developing but starting to show some nuance and complexity. Exceptional.

Deep gold. Clearly has some age on it already. On the nose honey and toasted bread. On the palate medium sweetness high acidity, medium alcohol. Passion fruit and honey. Age has benefitted this. Very good.

Powerful nose of maple, oxidative nuttiness, and copper -- I mean the metal, though it describes the color too! High acid, as appropriate to balance the sweetness, which it does well, putting it only at the sweeter end of what could still be called "off dry." Honey and toast on the palate, and medium body.

Textbook terrioir on the nose and pallot confirms but with a touch of saline which intensifies on the finish. Concentrated and layered. Off dry at best. Solid, solid wine - no real disappointment. I think I prefer his Secs more but would love to taste again with some age on it. It begs for food pairings. Purchased at an esteemed wine store just today.

I expected more from this one. Very attractive in the glass, with a deep yellow hue. The nose and pallete are both rather tight at this stage though, and lack development. Class chenin texture, although I find it just a little too "chalky" for my liking. The attack is excellent, with loads of fresh apple and apricot and wonderful acidity. Very much on the "dry" side of "off-dry". Unfortunately, it stumbles a bit on the mid-palette, losing intensity and complexity. …

This is a nice off dry Vouvray with good acidity, which at this point is still fairly simple and mainly about appley fruit, but shows obvious quality and longevity. Some of the honeycomb character I expect from Chenin Blanc with just a hint of yellow and white flowers (honeysuckle, geranium). M body, M+ acid, a very food friendly and food flexible style. We had it with eggplant chermoula and a tagine of ground meat with prune, glazed apples, saffron, ginger …

Gorgeous deep yellow colour. Lovely yellow fruits on the nose, a honeyed quality, just a touch of tropical influence. Good acidity on the palate - you wouldn't guess this is one of Chidaine's sweeter cuvees - with some honey, lemon, citrus peel and wet wool. Tangy finish. Very nice, but not exciting (yet, anyway - feels very young). Great match for curried sea bream.

Clear yellow with a golden hue. Nose is developed, mineral, just a touch oxidative and with notes of tropical fruits such as peaches and melon, also overripe lemon and a touch of honey and verbena. Mouthfeel shows a beautiful texture, broad, generous, developed, a touch sweet (fact check says 15,8 g/l), with great acidity, nice minerality and notes of peaches, apricots, quince and grilled lemon, with a long, mineral finish. This is really a beautiful semi-dry chenin, actually from Vouvray, …

Rich slightly darker golden color. Nose mild lanolin, some crushed rocks and white flowers. Palate fresh, golden apple but not in an oxidized/nutty way, then some white flowers and mint. Very balanced slight sweetness and fruitiness balanced by a nice acidity. Very nice, to me drinking at peak, given some of the concerns others have raised over oxidation for other vintages/cuvees of Chidaine and hence hesitation over longer-term aging. 91 pts

Excellent demi-sec chenin blanc with notes of orange peel, quince and herbs. The palate offers a good balance between sweetness and freshness. I would guess with time this wine will develop even more nuances. It should easily keep for 1-2 decades.

Dinner at Shoto. Took a little time to open, exquisite balance of sweetness and acidity, apple, quince and honey, medium length.
