Interesting flavour profile but textbook Piccadilly Valley in the Petaluma style. Flavours of green skinned fruits on front palate quickly giving way to nectarine and the vanilla notes of the american oak. Some residual sugar remaining.

Bright and clear golden yellow color with intense citrus, peach, ripe pineapples with a touch of rich vanilla oak. The initial attack was quite intense, fruity and spicy with some minerals and creamy oak on the first day but eventually settled down over the next two days into a much balance and mellower wine with all its vital components in place. The middle palate is incredibly rich and persistent. In short, this is a beautiful Aussie chardonnay with an air of …

Light gold. Nose of oak and lees. On the palate, complex citrus flavours and oak that is noticeable but weaves in and out of the fruit in a pleasant way. The 14.5% alcohol is apparent too, though just balanced by the other assertive elements. However, there was a slight flatness to this bottle that spoke to me of old age. I expect this was livelier two or three years ago. If I had any more I would drink them soon.

Perfect restaurant wine. Classy but not complex nor hiding. Drinking well now. Well made from cool climate fruit but needs more concentration and acid to move it into the top sphere. 13% screwcap.

Lemon and tropical fruit on the nose. When first opened, a touch of 'Riesling kerosene' but this faded very quickly. Palate showed lemon, grapefruit, peach and the oak had softened and integrated (compared to a bottle tasted in 2012). After an hour or so, the early citrus character was being overtaken by more tropical fruit character but the delicate oak backbone was still evident. Almonds late on the palate plus a lovely buttery oiliness. The wine evolved and changed character …

Straw colour with a yellow tinge. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, melon, fig and butter. Flavours of grapefruit, lemon, lime, minerals and a gentle vanilla oak. Maybe a bit simpler than what I was expecting but still pretty good.

Round and viscous, but flavourwise quite subtle and elegant. Long finish. Close to its peak, I think.

Pale gold Light candy peel, white flora, oak edge of banana chips, pineapple, pear, caramel. Mineralic, terroir driven start, wet stone, chalky, oak not overpowering but not especailly well integrated. Butter, toast, nuttykick in mid palate, carrying throught to finish, leaving dwindling minerality and prominent pear, papaya and lychee. Dates. Reasonable acidity. Citric, limey edge. Not much depth, but nice finish, moderate length.

Pale gold. Intense oak and more subtle notes of pear and pineapple on the nose. Light-medium bodied with great acidity. An initially oak dominated palate followed by moderate levels of green-, citrus- and tropical fruit notes (pear, lemon, pineapple). Good lenght. I like this wine for both its elegant, cool climate acidity and its pure fruit, but the oak tone is slightly overpowering these qualities.

There is some good fruit flavour in this wine but it was marked down due to excessive oak. Okay to drink but too heavy handed with the wood.
