NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2013 (DavidC's house) : {500ml, scewcap, 18%} (Greg) Aged aromas of cold tea. The palate has molasses & honey flavours, sweet clean and aging, with lots of alcoholic heat, some acidic bite which fades quickly, and a medium-long finish of mono-chromatic quality. OK, but too simple overall to be great.

2005 bottling. Dark red brown in color, perhaps darker than what I might have expected for what is now a 17yr old wine. Spirity spicy nose with muscat-like grapey richness. Palate falls down with disjointed flavours profile; the fruit falls away leaving a residue of abv hardness and spice. Nutty finish is a minor redemption.
