Sadly my last bottle and as previous notes suggest, this is a wonderful, joyful surprise of a value.

Continues to impress and deliver well above its price. Juicy ripe berries on the palate with a sappy herbal note. Crunchy berries and citrusy pomegranate on the finish. Not very structured but enough tannin to carry the fruit to the finish. Joy in a bottle.

Slightest orange edges of a medium ruby. Dark berry on the nose. This is so easy to drink but a serious wine. Crunchy, tart berry, with some herbal/piney notes. Excellent acidity and low grippy tannin on a light frame. Medium finish. Crazy QPR at around $18. Drinking very nicely now, but no immediate rush.

Darn delicious stuff. Perfect blend of pinot and gamay and so easy drinking. Going to buy a case of this next time I see it!

Last bottle, really nice weeknight wine, with the darker/ sauvage flavors mixing well with stony and tart red fruit. Acidity carries things along well. Good stuff, and I'd buy it again for a good price.

Juicy, sappy, and a bit grapey. Like a serious grand cru Beaujolais with rich fruit, some minerality, sap and pine on the palate. Nicely structured and with several years ahead of it. Serious wine.

Similar to prior, very good and savory. Food-friendly, solid bargain. Will be good over next 5 years.

A more piney, herbal style Chevillon with I guess not 100% pinot noir.

Lovely nose, but still compact on the palate and tight into the finish. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 90.

Kemit Lynch's website states this is 2/3 gamay. Tastes to me like the reverse proportion. Pretty lean and acidic with tart fruit and minerally earth; the mid-palate seems bumped by the gamay. Good, definitely afwe.

Like this a lot as a weeknight wine. Some pleasant tartness and light body of Gamay intermixed with a whiff of sauvage and dark berry. Some mineral on the backend. Worth following a handful of years. 88+

Quite light and refreshing, with juicy red fruits (cranberries, cherries), a touch of earth and zippy acidity on the finish; A touch simplistic but also very gulpable and delicious

Pepper on the nose with sweeping acid and light but lasting cranberry. Mouth filling and ethereal as it should be.

C-cubed--Chevillon Chaignots and Cailles Verticals (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco) : Light ruby. Grapy aromas. Upfront cherry with cranberry acidity and earthy back end. Pretty serious for this genre.
