Stonehaven Riesling

Did not like this wine. The nose is pleasant; apples, peaches, perhaps a whiff of lemon. The color is clear, bright and attractive. But the taste is, well, odd. There's a touch of sweetness, and abundant fruit, but there's also an underlying flavor of kerosene that just spoils everything. Don't think this was a bad bottle, just bad wine. It is drinkable, but just barely. Perhaps it's past its prime.

Very smooth sweet tasting wine. Good for drinking while watching a movie or other relaxing thing.

Haven't had a chance to have it yet but this is from Wilfred Wong's notes through BevMo: 86 PTS WILFRED WONG. An all-around pleasing effort, the easy-drinking '05 Stonehaven Riesling delivers smooth, ripe apple flavors; the easiness of this wine pairs it well with poultry dishes.
