as good as it gets for price point and level. from this really learned the value of producer over year in Burgundy. lighter and prettier than the 2020 but just as good and perhaps a bit of delicacy even gives it the edge. lost my notes but very typical with black and red fruit, perhaps some truffle, definite sous-bois.*notes found: nose: earth, raspberry, red fruit. palate: licorice, tobacco, cranberry, raspberry, rose petal. some spice with food. long finish. pretty body …

Excellent for its level. A crunchy red fruited Bourgogne that got better over 3 hours and was best on day two. The fruit is bright, tannins give a little bit of powdery grip, and acids became fairly focused after the wine had been opened for a couple of hours. A fun drink now but will probably improve over the next five years.

Excellent for this stage of its life. Needs a little air to breathe but starts to open up after some time in the glass and keeps improving with more air. Aromas are definitely more red fruit driven than earthy, but the ripeness is perfect. In the mouth, the tannins are still young and show it by being firm and a little chewy. There's good supporting acid in the background. The finish is long and pleasant as the tannins smooth out. …

Stem inclusion? This was quite nice with an interesting spice note.

This needs some air to smooth out, but another great vintage of this wine, which is top notch for weeknight fare. A little less earthy than prior vintages and more fruit driven. But the ripeness is spot on.

nye dinner party. just when I thought I should stick to Italy for classic enjoyable wallet friendly flavours, this Bourgogne rouge knocks it out the park. good producer and from a specific climat bordering Gevrey/Fixin. round, full brambly goodness but at the same time light on its feet and versatile with food (albondiga, truffle cheese gnocchi, mushroom pate toast). disappeared almost instantly, want to buy more to taste for complexity, poss. higher score. can probably age a bit but great …

Fresh, lively, delicious Burg, beautiful! Better than the 2020 Durieux La Gouzotte drank before this, superb as the night progressed

I wasn't a huge fan of this. In some way it has nice red fruit and a light touch of oak, but it was also quite thin on the palate...

Absolute value for money! Very young but talentful. Quite a lot of power for a Burgundy. Nose with ripe fruit, some roses and spices. Nice palate with good acidity and fruit. Fresh finish. Will age nicely

Maybe opened way too early—but this had a profile unlike I’ve had in any other Burgundy. Strong whole cluster profile with a white pepper note that would be consistent with Syrah. Nice crisp red fruits underneath. Have a hard time getting around the whole cluster profile which just isn’t balanced at this stage. Still, quite fresh and tasty. Would have called cool climate syrah blind I think (though there’s no tannin profile to speak of) Unfortunately my only bottle. Best …

Impenetrable magenta-black. Enjoyed over 5 hours, but then nose remained fairly muted throughout, savoury soy and coniferous forest floor. More concentrated even than most other ‘20’s I’ve tasted, yet simultaneously so weightless, floral, roses, peonies and violets, black fruited, very saline.

PnP. Really good. A surprising depth and meaty unctuousness for a humble bottle.

Large scaled and rather structured for a Bourgogne. Very dark and concentrated, almost violet and opaque, with a fruit profile leaning more towards currants and blues than rather than cranberry reds. Interesting flint quality on the nose. Acidity is well judged and this comes across as nicely balanced, if larger scaled. Could use some time in bottle for sure. Grew on me a bit after an hour air or so. On night 2 was quite excellent. Came together a bit. …
