Translucent, slightly maroon cherry color with rather deep, luminous core and pale bricking-brown rims. Rather dry, fragrant and savory bouquet with more sour than dark cherry aromas, complemented by nuances of tart, dark-skinned berries, some black mulberry, a little earth and manure, a hint of tar and a whiff of sweet, mellow smoke.
