Nice Cab Franc. Ready to drink. Tasted a couple comparable wines and this held up well against some more expensive bottles.

2019 Tawse Cabernet Franc Growers Blend was aromatic and refreshing. Sealed under a TCA-free DIAM-10 cork, the youthful Niagara Cabernet Franc was clear and medium ruby, without any observable sediments. Expressive bouquet of fresh blackberry, lilac, mint and vanilla jumped out of the glass. Underneath were positive of varietal characters of pencil shaving and tobacco leaf. The mouthfeel was dry and medium-bodied, marked by a high level of bright acidity and a medium level of polished tannin. There were coherent …

Lots of acidity, fresh tart plums and blackberries. Wood is minor, nice soft herbs.

The perfumed, medium to medium-high intensity nose offers very appealing currant, cassis, herbs, licorice, medicinal, and tobacco aromas that also come through on the dry, medium-full bodied palate. It's all supported by fresh acidity and grainy, grippy, and structured tannins. Flavour replays along with touches of oak linger on the long finish.

spicy, lean dark fruits (plum, blackberry and fig), licorice, caramel and oak. Medium body, juicy acids. Supple fruit with a savoury side adding complexity. Oak needs to integrate a bit more. looking forward to revisiting my other bottle in a few years.

91+, tough in a blind tasting. Not screaming out that it’s a single varietal cab franc. But quality nonetheless

I had this wine a few years back and I remembered it as a decent wine. This vintage though is horrible: thin, sour, no fruit to speak of. I don't know what they are thinking pricing it at $28.

Appearance: deep core, no transition, very sharp rim. Very slow legs. Nose: a lot of smoke. Excessive smoke. In oak for 16 months apparently. Smoke takes over everything. Palate: same on the palate with the oak and smoke. Overall: if you wanted something so smokey you should buy whisky.
