Light, refreshing, semi-dry table wine (9% alcohol). A nice summer sipper that is also quite flavorful and goes well with shellfish. Great price-point too.

I enjoyed it with sea smelts and roasted chicken leg. It is a fun wine and I think it should always be in my home.

A good quaffing wine that is not too complex, but towers over most other wines at this price point in both favor and interest. Aromas of pear and other fruit. Flavor is a bit underripe, but finishes clean.

A bit sweeter than I recall. An easy drinking Summer refresher. Pear, stonefruit and lemon. Nice acidity. Slight tongue-coating sweetness.

The fine print on the label says ‘meio-seco’, so it’s medium dry. Very light colour, has bubbles of carbon dioxide, smells of pear, light body, has a certain residual sugar but enough acidity to balance it, in the mouth pear and a little bit nutty, in the aftertaste pear and a little bit nutty, short finish (5 sec), a really great Vinho Verde for the price.
