Perhaps one of the prettiest Loring I’ve had. The purity of fruit really comes through.

Tasty. A pleasant find in the back of the cellar.

Showing a deep purple at the core, the color shades to black cherry at the rim. With blueberry on the attack, Im not likely to love this wine. The blueberry is joined wiwth sweet black cherry, cloves and .... tangerine zest? Um, ok. The palate picks up where the bouquet leaves off where cola joins the mayhem. But its short-lived mayhem, as the wine lacks depth or length. Throwing some sediment. 14% alc. With leftover duck cassoulet. Recommended with Reservations. …

This wine continues to display a deep ruby color. An attack of black cherry, cola, and cloves gives way to teaberry and smoke. But its a wine without much depth. While Ive commented on the balance of this wine in the past, this bottle showed excessive acidity. Maybe it was the food pairing or maybe the fruit is beginning to fade, but this was a bit of a chore to drink. Beginning to throw some sediment just now. 14% alc. …

As time has passed, this wine has lightened up a touch exhibiting a beautiful deep ruby color. Loads of black cherry, cola, and cloves on the nose and palate. Those notes drive the palate from beginning to finish with side alleys of earth, blueberry, and teaberry and smoke. Nevertheless, this remains a rather linear wine, but one of balance and pleasure. Barely any perceptible sediment. 14% alc. With homemade chili chip nacho while watching the most dramatic comeback in Super …

A deep and brooding red hits the eye while a big, bold swipe of black cherry and cloves swings for the nose. Another big wine needing more time. Time it may need, but this wine is not nearly as brawny and dense as the Aubaine from last week. The palate delivers black cherry, teaberry, and cloves. Someone mentions bacon fat and while I dont detect that, I do sense a smokey goodness about the wine. The wine pairs well with …

Still really like these loring pinots for cocktail drinking. Why don't I buy more of these and less other expensive bottles?

Cherry and raspberry fruit, a little cola, and a nice balanced finish of earthiness and oak. Very nice mouth feel, verging on plush. Similar notes as last time but rated it 90+ so clearly my tastes vary over time.

Sweet fruit and a bit of alcohol on the nose. Definitely a California Pinot palate. A bit one dimensional and disappointing, actually. This bottling is usually a highlight for me.

Served with Copper River King salmon, fresh fava beans, and corn. Yum! A full throttled but lovely expression of RRV Pinot. Twangy cherry, touch of licorice candy, not subtle but quite pure and clean in a large mold.

Nice dark cherries and ripe plums with a rich, sweet fruit delivery that is enhanced by a great mouthfeel and soft palate. Leads to a nice lingering finish that shouts for more. A hint of raisin and a light touch of oak with some cola and spice. Clean finish with mild dry tannins.

Tight with some vibrant spice and dark berry and blackberry fruit. Hints of boysenberry as well. Very focused with good structure and apparent minerals and spice. A bit restrained from a fruit perspective overall.

My first Loring and I was a bit disappointed. It had some pinot flavor but was overripe to the point of raison and portiness. Really non-descript just a jam bomb full on. I can handle ripe in the right circumstance, but when you get to port like it turns me off a bit and this one did.

Brief notes from a poolside afternoon with family - 14% ABV. transparent ruby in the glass. Tangy black cherry with a suggestion of stems and some earth. Seemed somewhat higher toned than the last bottle. Pretty good.

Middle of the road ripeness for a Cali PN. Probably opened too soon as this was very tight with a lot of tannic structure on opening- it took 3-4 hours in a decanter for this to become enjoyable.

Medium ruby red in color. Rose petals, earth notes on the nose. Plummy, blackberry, dusty fruit. Some sweet vanilla, ripe overall with sweet fruit. Earthy flavors. However, this is very structured with big, fruit, big tannins, and big acidity. Very nice bottle.

Sort of thin and acidic. Atypical for a Loring and a Loring Brosseau. Heat, really sweet red cherry. Probably too young. Let it sit for a couple of years.

Pretty dark for a Pinot, but has a lovely ripe black and red cherry nose, deep and intense, some notes of strawberries, herbs, anise. Ripe initially on the palate, sweet cherry and plum, but this has a dry and juicy edge, almost hard that shows the wines youth. This wine worked great with food, but was a little dry without. Enjoyed this though and had enough Pinot complexity to merit an outstanding score.

Distinctly Graham vineyard with aromatic notes of candied cherries, baking spice and brown sugar. Nice acidity and well rounded with little to no heat.
