Domaine Muré Pinot Gris Lutzeltal Vendanges Tardives

Rich golden color probably reflecting the age. Cork was in good condition. Although the label on the bottle denoted “almost dry” tasting, it was definitely on the sweet side. We had opened to pair with a chicken sauerkraut soup, but it was way too sweet so we switched to a Chardonnay. However, this wine was excellent with the Stilton after dinner. We will enjoy the rest as a dessert wine.
