Recently purchased.. must have been sitting on a shelf for years. Decanted for 3 hours. Amazing nose. Black currants, pencil shavings, plums, forest floor. Went down so well. Im always a big fan of Stonestreet!

Wow. A full bodied Bordeaux style blend. That does not disappoint. Drinking phenomenally now with a short decant. This wind has staying power. Tasted even better on day two. Most highly recommended. Amazing.

Slow ox for 6 hrs. Dark garnet. Full bodied, dark fruit, mushroom. Nice balance between fruit and tertiary flavor. Felt it can get a little better with one more year with improved tertiary flavor. Some complexity but was expecting more. Drinking well now still.

Just a little over its peak. Probably one or two points higher at its best. Lovely red fruit and soft tannins. Would still buy for immediate consumption.

While probably past its prime, this wine was a surprising delight for a special occasion. The high Cabernet (80%+) in the blend likely contributed to this. The tannins were nicely controlled, the fruit was laid back but still vibrant, and there were delightful aged notes throughout with a nice finish as well.

Cigar box on the nose with excellent mature tannins. A real pleasure to drink.

Opened and decanted 1 hour before beef short ribs. Cloudy purple with a crimson hue. Nose brings strawberry cobbler, blackcurrant, dried leather, and lavender. The palate is full, compact, juicy, and hard, bringing plums, dark cherries, blackberries, boysenberries, red currant, mushrooms, hints of garlic/herbs, and baked cherry pie. The finish is sandy and dusty, but thined out enough to make this highly drinkable. Best with food and in a nice window. Drink 2019-2026. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 93.

This wine still tastes young at 10 years. Recanted. Took almost an hour to open up. BlackBerry, green pepper and very tannic. Great steak wine.

Lots of life to this 10 year old. Great opening fruit and great linger, perhaps a little soft on the mid-palate. No real uniqueness, but very enjoyable.

This bottle is notably better than my last one, two years ago. The fruit is a little more robust and the tannins are more velvety. Terrific stuff.

3 hour decant Aggressive nose, left bank Bordeaux like in many ways, sweet dark red fruit, mineral, butchers block and a mild vanilla from the barreling. Palate offered up a grainy tannin structure over top of a ripe and forward fruit, dark raspberry and currents. Not overly polished, very much a masculine wine with the finesse of a walrus. Still a very nice wine, which can be enjoyed today or aged for another 4 or so.

Has some nice earthy elements but it's not up to several versions from the mid '90s through early '00s. I don't think this will improve much from here, so drink up.

New World Blind Tasting Group $40+ (Bin 75) : Dark garnet core with lighter garnet rim; vanilla, rosemary, cooked fruit, darker fruit, lots of spice, clove, allspice; some strong tannin, hints at red fruit with lots of dark fruit, eucalyptus, big, some pencil shavings; very decent, seemed like a more youthful and balanced example than others.

New World Blind Tasting Group $25+ (Bin 75) : Darker core with dull garnet rim; nose of currant, slight stewed red and dark fruit, cedar, tobacco, hints at green pepper; palate has good amount of tannin but softer due to its age; tasty, better with pop and pour than the last one which may have been decanted too long.

Pretty good wine. Still has structure to last for another 3-5 years. Blackberry dominates the wine. Decanting would have helped bring out the subtler characteristics.

This would have been lower on day 1, but by day 2 I thought this was very nice. Fruit is lovely, and well balanced by softened tannins and structure. Short linger.

Opened up on day 2, with some red plum and vanilla oak. Lots of tannic grip, but within the balanced range and showing a medium to long finish. A little earthiness comes through, but was hoping for a lot more.

Consistent with my other bottle drank few months ago...except this bottle is more aromatic, more fruit on the nose. Great value! I should have left this bottle alone as i mentioned on my last note. Guess i should look for some more bottles.

Deep garnet color. Legs form really slow. No significant nose in the beginning, but opened up just a little bit after an hour decant. At first taste, it reminds me of Chalk Hill Proprietary Red with less alcohol, which I like. Classic Alexander Valley style. Enjoyed it with family over NY steak, homemade mac 'n cheese and grilled brussel sprouts. As much as I like how it tasted with food, I'm a little disappointed with the nose, especially for a …

Sagebrush nose with herb notes are prevelant in this Legacy. A complex red that offers black cherry fruit, charcoal, crushed violets and espresso. A finish that begins with some soft leather and cherries jubilee, followed by chocolate that sails on and on. This wine has held up well and could go longer in the bottle.

I thought this was a dead ringer for a good, solid Bordeaux. Leather, tobacco and faint sweet black cherry on the nose and palate, with a medium-bodied mouthfeel and good finish. A steal for the $20 I paid for it.

Had been holding on to this for awhile. Very developed, with an almost French feel of leather, tobacco and real depth. Fruit seemed to have waned a bit and was somewhat dominated by the smokier earth senses. A thoughtful, deep drinker.
